Both Dynamix and Revolt are supportive hardboot inline skates designed for recreational skating, urban use, fitness, and freestyle progression.

The biggest differences are fit, size availability, bearings, shock absorption, and rider-weight recommendation.

Choose Dynamix if:

  • You’re looking for an accessible entry into urban skating.

  • ABEC-7 bearings are enough for the type of skating you plan to do.
  • You do not need a size above Men’s US 10.

Choose Revolt if:

  • You prefer a regular-to-wide fit with a little more room through the foot.

Revolt Turbo vs. ELECTRO

These two models have more in common than they have differences.

  • A responsive setup suitable for urban and freestyle skating

Choose Revolt Turbo if:

  • You want a dedicated flat 4x80mm performance setup.
  • Your focus is urban skating, fitness, freestyle progression, and faster technical rides.
  • You want the upgraded performance of CNC aluminum, SHR wheels, and Chrome bearings without needing a rockerable frame.
  • You want compatibility with the TRAXART Universal Brake.

Choose ELECTRO if:

  • You want all the advantages of a flat performance skate, plus the ability to rocker the frame.
  • You enjoy urban skating but may also want to explore slalom or more technical freestyle.
  • You value being able to change how the skate behaves without changing the entire setup.

ELECTRO can be used completely flat, with all four wheels contacting the ground just like a traditional urban skate.

Its rockerable CNC frame simply gives you an additional configuration:

  • Flat: more stability and a familiar urban-skating feel.
  • Rockered: greater maneuverability for tighter turns, transitions, slalom, and technical movements.

So the rocker is not something that limits ELECTRO to slalom. It is an extra function you can use when you want it.

3 Wheels vs. 4 Wheels

More wheels do not automatically mean a better skate. The right setup depends on what kind of ride you want.

4x80mm

Found on Dynamix, Revolt, Revolt Turbo and ELECTRO.

A 4x80mm setup keeps you closer to the ground and offers a good balance between speed, control and maneuverability.

It is our preferred setup for:

  • Beginners
  • Urban skating
  • Learning new skills
  • Freestyle
  • Technical maneuvering
  • Skaters who prioritize control

3x110mm

Found on HYPE.

Larger 110mm wheels hold speed more efficiently and roll more easily across cracks and uneven pavement.

They are particularly useful for:

  • Longer distances
  • Faster urban rides
  • Fitness skating
  • Rougher pavement
  • Experienced skaters who want more speed

Because the larger wheels place the skater higher off the ground and can maintain more speed, we generally recommend gaining confidence on four wheels before moving to a large-wheel 3-wheel setup.

Want both?

HYPE uses a hybrid CNC aluminum frame that comes with 3x110mm wheels but can also accept a compatible 4x80mm setup.

X-Light vs. Freemix: Which Kids' Skate?

This one's easy: the main choice is lights or no lights.

Both X-Light and Freemix are real adjustable inline skates designed to help children learn and continue progressing.

  • Dynamix: up to 240 lb / 109 kg
  • Revolt: up to 265 lb / 120 kg

  • Gold Quad: up to 220 lb / 100 kg

For riders approaching the higher end of the range, our CNC aluminum frame models — Revolt Turbo, ELECTRO and HYPE — provide our strongest inline frame options.
